Overview

PTO Planner ("we", "us", or "our") operates pto-planner.com. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We keep it simple because we only collect what's necessary to make the app work.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password (or, if you sign in with Google, your Google email and profile name). We never see or store your Google password.

PTO plan data: The settings and vacation plans you enter into PTO Planner — such as accrual rates, balances, and trip dates — are saved to your account so you can access them across devices. This data is stored securely in our database.

Usage data: We may collect basic analytics such as page views and general usage patterns. We do not track individual behavior in detail.

How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Advertising

PTO Planner uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show you ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in to your account. Google AdSense may set additional cookies for advertising purposes. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the site functions.

Analytics & Session Recording

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with our website. Clarity collects data such as mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior through session recordings and heatmaps. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve the user experience. We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure traffic and usage patterns. Neither service collects personally identifiable information through these tools. For more information, see Microsoft's Privacy Statement and Google's Privacy Policy.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. You can also use PTO Planner without creating an account — in that case no personal data is stored on our servers.

Children's Privacy

PTO Planner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
